Is whole milk good for babies?

Whole cow's milk provides calcium, vitamin D, protein, and fat essential for brain development. It can be used in cooking from 6 months but should not replace breast milk or formula as a main drink before 12 months — it lacks sufficient iron and other nutrients babies need in the first year. From 12 months, it becomes an excellent everyday drink.
