How to prepare mango, age by age
- 6 to 8 months
- Blend or purée flesh until completely smooth.
- 9 to 11 months
- Soft cubes or thick mash — finger-food size.
- 12 to 17 months
- Small diced pieces, skins removed.
- 18 months and over
- Small bite-size chunks they can manage independently.
Is mango an allergen?
Mango is not one of the main food allergens. Any new food can cause a reaction the first time it is offered, so give it on its own and stay with your baby while they eat.
Is mango good for babies?
Mango is packed with vitamin C and beta-carotene for immune support and healthy vision. Its natural sweetness is a great way to encourage babies to accept new flavours. High water content helps keep little ones hydrated.
